About Bev Philipp, Ph.D.

Bev is known as a Coach-sultant, providing powerful coaching to evoke insight and self discovery, while also interceding teaching moments in a consultative approach. As a strengths-based coach, she has spent over 350+ hours coaching executives, team leaders and individual contributors. She provides consulting services to leaders who are in need of strategizing goals, streamlining processes, and defining roles and responsibilities across the organization and within teams. Bev is a Senior Director of Content & Delivery at Advancing Women Executives (AWE). She is responsible for creating a safe space to learn and implement insights through an interactive experience including live virtual training sessions and networking opportunities. She oversees a team including facilitator and coach contractors who partner with AWE to deliver and scale learning solutions.Bev is proud to be a bi-racial woman of Samoan and Caucasian decent, speaking both languages. To honor the ancestors of her Samoan decent, Bev continues to advocate for professional development and executive opportunities for women in the working world – especially for minority women. As an ally of the BIPOC community, Bev provides coaching and consulting services to Coaching for Everyone, a 501c3 nonprofit organization providing complimentary coaching and leadership services to the BIPOC community.Bev received her Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Alliant International University. Her dissertation research, The Moderating Role of Ethical Leadership: Investigating Relationships Among Employee Psychological Contracts, Commitment and Citizenship Behavior was published in the Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies. She holds coaching certifications from International Coaching Federation, The Hogan Assessment, The Marcus Buckingham Company's StandOut Strengths Coaching, The Leadership Circle Profile, and Positive Intelligence.When Bev is not working, you can find her spending time outdoors with her family paddle boarding, riding skateboards, or hiking trails in the Pacific Northwest. You might even catch her at a football game cheering very loudly on the sidelines!
