I was fortunate to inherit a computer, a TRS-80 when I was a teenager, that came with BASIC programming manuals. I quickly learned BASIC and was delighted to create moving images and words flowing across the screen. That’s when I discovered that I was good at and enjoyed the detailed nature of programming and problem-solving. My teamwork and organization skills were developed by growing up with five brothers, mom, dad, and my grandfather under one roof, and using homemade precursors to Trello and Kanban to keep things organized.Since then, I’ve become a collaborative leader of long-term strategic initiatives and am known to be calm in fast-paced, dynamic environments. I’ve successfully delivered global projects by bridging connections between business stakeholders, IT teams, my colleagues, and vendors, utilizing agile methodologies, and practicing servant leadership.I’ve taken ownership of the software development lifecycle execution, budget, contracts, and project reporting to senior management. Ultimately sunsetting legacy systems and realizing the planned ROI.
