I am a third-year at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, majoring in Global Studies and Sociology with a minor in Creative Nonfiction Writing. Within my Global Studies major, I am focusing on transnational cultures, arts, and identities in Asia.Through my coursework and personal experiences, I have developed a passion for the exploration of various societies and how their cultural products represent the people in those areas. Furthermore, I am fascinated in the way that cultural exchanges leads to global understandings and diplomatic relationships. My strengths in social media advertisement and long-form written communication help broadcast stories on global culture, and I hope to expand upon these skills to continue to gain knowledge and appreciation for various groups of people. I am interested in international opportunities that allow for the exploration of diplomacy, public affairs, and cross-cultural exchanges.
