For the past twenty+ years, I have dedicated myself to daily excellence working for the Institute of Living in Hartford, Connecticut. Founded in 1822, The Institute of Living was one of the first mental health centers in the United States, and the first hospital of any kind in Connecticut. It remains one of America's leading not-for-profit centers for comprehensive patient care, research and education in the fields of behavioral, psychiatric, and addiction disorders. As an Administrative Associate III, I led a professional administrative staff in the daily operations of an outpatient clinic, and I contribute to the smooth flow of nine mental health services within this division. I maintain the daily calendar of two in-demand Directors, represent the Directors with community providers, and collaborate with hospital Occupational Health Services, Human Resources and the Benefits Office regarding staff FML status. I have developed exceptional skills in forming strong, cohesive, and effective working relationships with senior executives, helping them to plan and successfully execute the policies, programs, and initiatives which drive significant business growth. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources. I organize and take part in staff yearly performance appraisals and staff development, and serve as the department liaison with Human Resources. I was recognized as the Department of Psychiatry’s Employee of the Year, out of 700 departmental employees.I’m proud to work for an organization that is united in its mission of providing treatment based on respect for the dignity and individuality of each patient – shaped by Hartford Hospital’s core values of integrity, caring, excellence and safety.I enjoy connecting with other professionals on LinkedIn, discussing professional trends and best practices, and learning about new opportunities.
