Bev Sage’s professional musical career officially dates back to 1970’s Punk London and the 1980's New Romantics. Graduating from London University (now UCL) in arts and education she focused on photography and psychology, however, by 1979 she was signed as a singer/songwriter to Electric Records, PRT Records & Warner Bros Publishing. As a recording artist and live performer, with Writz, Famous Names and The Techno Twins, Sage was the first female rapper to be featured on Top of the Pops with Modern Romance. She toured extensively throughout UK, Europe and USA. Recorded vocals for Monty Python's film 'The Meaning of Life' and voiced many films, documentaries and advertising campaigns.Following on from her musical successes, Sage's work as an art director included producing fashion shows and festivals at various venues including the Saatchi Gallery and Kensington Town Hall. This work included styling West End shows such as The Blue Brothers and art directing a One Direction tribute band with Josephine Buchan in Las Vegas. Throughout late 1980’s-2000 she worked in television; researching, presenting, directing and producing arts programmes for the BBC and ITV, such as The Great Antiques Hunt and a weekly arts programme called The Pleasure Guide which celebrated music, arts, film and theatre, including guests such as Massive Attack, David Grey and Faithless. Her Arts documentaries included 'Beats Per Minute' tracing the story of Dub and Dance Music, 'The Story of Womad' with Peter Gabriel and 'Plasticine Goes to Hollywood' with Oscar-winning Nick Park's animations. Currently a member of WIMA (Women in Media and Arts) led by actress Michelle Collins, in 2018 she interviewed the legendary performance artist Marina Abramovic. She exhibits art works internationally including NeuroVision, a series of three short films created in collaboration with Dr Jake Fairnie, screened at the Venice Biennale 2019.Bev Sage believes passionately in the educational and healing power of the drum. Her experiences in arts education highlighted the importance of creativity in developing the mind including the potential of drumming for children. Her wealth of experience, energy and strategic expertise is currently driving the Quantum Drum Tuner's journey to market. Introducing influencers, with keen attention to the importance of visual and product branding, she's convinced the Quantum's position in the global marketplace is poised for world-wide commercial success.
