She worked on weekly and monthly newspapers, finally founding The Mineral County Miner and South Fork Tines in Creede, CO. in 1975. After selling that she started Tawa Indian Gallery and Boutique in South Fork, Co. and later Tucson, AZ. After 14 years of retail, Bev produced 4 audio books of pioneer women's diaries - buying the rights for the books and abridging them to 3 hours of audio on cassettes.She also wrote three books, Early History of Mineral and Rio Grande Counties: One Hundred Years of the Past Millennia, 1880 to 1980 and Best Friends Are Like Suspenders: They Hold You Up When You Are Falling Down, and Unfortunate Women.
