When I was little, I was always in and out of the hospital and doctor’s offices from being sick. The doctors I met had inspired me with their kindness, and from there, I wanted to become just like them. From elementary school to college, I’ve worked super hard to become someone who works in the medical field.I’ve always wanted to work with kids in a medical setting, but I needed more education to work in a health care setting. I’m going to college to get my master’s degree in biology to qualify to get into Physician assistant school potentially. I decided to work in a child care setting to gain prior knowledge of children’s development since I want to work in pediatrics. I am working with kids in child development settings to see what to look for when working in pediatrics. Not only that, I can de-escalate parents as I would have to in a medical environment where parents are constantly stressed or scared because their child is sick.I am now a sophomore majoring in Biochemistry with a 3.3 GPA on the pre-med track. I’m in the Women Of Gold organization, where I program general member’s meetings and create socials for our team bonding. I have what it takes to work with people in social diversity with campus leadership, communication, and project management.
