Ádám Beöthy is the head of the Human Rights Education Unit at Amnesty International Hungary. He is leading a team of four staff members and partakes in the design and development of the new education programs and training courses. He studied Social Sciences and International Human Rights at ELTE University, and Communication and Media Studies at BME (Budapest, Hungary). He has experience with both formal and non-formal education. He holds seminars at ELTE University on awareness raising and social inequalities and gathered experience in non-formal educational settings as well. He had worked as an educator at the refugee program of SOS Children’s Villages, where he was tasked to educate the unaccompanied minors on the European Asylum system and on the Hungarian policies in place. At Amnesty International Hungary he leads the human rights education programme, designs training courses for teachers and social workers, supports the network of 120+ volunteer educators, and develops workshops and other educational materials, such as blended learning journeys or e-learning modules. He coordinates various projects (grant budgets vary between 5.000 - 200.000 EUR) funded by government and non-governmental donors.
