About Brandon Flayler

Brandon Flayler is a Senior Product Designer at Hipmunk. He possess expertise in user experience, web design, interaction design, photoshop, css and 28 more skills. Colleagues describe him as "Brandon Flayler is not only one of the most talented people in a talented field, he is a darned good person to work with. He is cool under pressure, but gets the work done on time. He is both creative and grounded. Brandon can lead a group through complex and difficult tasks, or pick up his share of the load if needed. He knows the software, the theory, and has the people skills to implement both in either team settings or individually. Brandon is someone I have sought to have on my team, and someone who's team I would join." and "Working with Brandon Flayler is a rare pleasure. He is a thoughtful balance of a professional problem solver and an academic. He exhibits the patients you always wanted from a knowledgeable educator and the problem solving you expect from highly talented creative. I worked with Brandon in the School of Visual Communication within the Scripps College of Communication at Ohio University. After he earned his advanced degree in the School of Media Arts and Studies, I had the opportunity to hire Brandon as a visiting professional to teach some of our most demanding multimedia publishing and digital design classes for the web. His teaching abilities are excellent. The position he was hire into, demanded UX and AI skills, code talent and CMS problem solving. His ability to produce the work was well proven. Our questions were, could he teach students that were nearly his age? Could he work with a faculty that was clearly a generation older? He proved to be exceptional on both counts. Brandon has the ability to work and manage both up-ladder and down-ladder. He has great leadership skills. He shows mature judgment beyond his age and truly exceptional understanding of digital solutions in a digital/visual world that is increasingly mobile. He works well with others and thinks well on his feet. His personality is open and thoughtful. He is not afraid to give his opinion, but is never quick to judge. He is a very good listener. The bottom line for me with any endorsement of someone I have hired is, “Would I hire that individual, again?” The answer is an unqualified, “Yes!” Terry Eiler–Director and Professor, School of Visual Communication."

Listed skills include User Experience, Web Design, Interaction Design, Photoshop, and 29 others.
