As a Senior Corporate Counsel at Microsoft, I support the company's mission to empower every person and organization on the planet. I have over 18 years of experience as a management-side employment attorney, and 12 years in-house experience, with a focus on the impact of technology on the workplace and how legal regulation seeks to shape that impact, globally.I advise on labor and employment laws affecting technology at work, including employee privacy, labor relations, and AI compliance by design for Microsoft's enterprise products and internal HR tools. I was the primary counsel that supported GDPR implementation for the HR team. I formerly managed the HR Legal Data and Business Insights Team, which provides data-driven solutions and insights to enhance Microsoft's legal and HR operations. I have been the primary employment law advisor to Microsoft's Azure, Office, and Dynamics product teams, as well as its U.S. sales, EU and Latin American subsidiaries. I have also supported Microsoft's global acquisitions and divestitures, GDPR compliance program, and employee data governance board.
