The City and County of Denver - together with partners Colorado State University and the Western Stock Show Association - are transforming the National Western Stock Show complex into a year-round center for entertainment, education and agribusiness - the National Western Center. My role as Strategic Partnerships Director for the Mayor's Office of the National Western Center includes leveraging the investment being made by the City of Denver and attracting partners who can help realize the vision outlined in the National Western Center Master Plan.• Directed strategic sustainability initiatives for a $765 million capital build program redeveloping a 250-acre infill site near downtown Denver (in close coordination with Jacobs as the City’s Program Manager).• Led a multidisciplinary team to procure a campus energy partner and execute a suite of agreements among six parties resulting in a $185 million, 40-year design-build-finance-operate-maintain contract to deliver district heating and cooling powered by North America’s largest wastewater heat recovery system.• Positioned the NWC campus to host multiple rooftop community solar gardens. • Managed engagement with Xcel Energy to establish the NWC as a host site for a community resiliency microgrid owned and operated by Xcel.• Led the City’s participation in the Department of Energy’s Zero Energy District Accelerator initiative and the Connected Communities Grant application.• Successfully planned and negotiated an $11M partnership agreement between the City and County of Denver and Metro Wastewater Reclamation District to relocate and bury two large wastewater pipes, opening up land for a new open space greenway along the South Platte River.• Provided internal support toward several citywide energy and sustainability policy initiatives• Participated in dozens of speaking engagements spanning a wide range of audiences. • Member of citywide Equity, Diversity and Inclusion team.

Re:Vision is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization based in Denver, CO that works in partnership with low-income families to develop community food systems, cultivate resident-leaders, and build resilient local economies.

• Supported the City’s efforts to build a world-class city through visionary city planning, community engagement and sustainable development.• Managed multidisciplinary teams including city staff and consultants to create several award-winning land use, transportation and economic development plans adopted by City Council, including the Decatur-Federal Station Area Plan, Cherry Creek Area Plan, and the Evans Station Area Plan.• Facilitated 100+ stakeholder meetings during an unprecedented public outreach effort that resulted in Denver City Council’s adoption of the largest zoning code re-write in Denver’s history.• Engaged multiple external housing, development and government partners to form the Denver Livability Partnership and secure nearly $5 million in federal funds to expand housing opportunities, improve access to jobs, redevelop brownfields, and create multi-modal transit corridors.

• Contributed to community development plans, military base master plans and environmental impact statement technical reports for socioeconomic, land use, and water resource impacts of transportation, infrastructure and development projects. Clients: Utah Department of Transportation, Texas Department of Transportation, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Coast Guard. • Developed new business opportunities - identified target markets and clients, established relationships with potential clients and partnering firms, responded to RFPs; represented Baker at interviews, networking events and conferences. • Helped prepare Baker's winning proposal for RTD's I-225 FasTracks Corridor, including planning analysis, graphics, GIS development and interview preparation.
