At NewAer I developed a proximity framework that allowed peer-to-peer discovery and communication. It works cross-platform: iOS, OS X, Android, Windows, and Linux. It used a combination of Bluetooth 2.0, Bluetooth LE, and Wi-Fi technologies. I also built mobile and desktop apps to demonstrate the capabilities. I acted as developer advocate during hackathons and as technical sales support during customer meetings.Other technologies used include: Objective-C, Java, iOS, Android, and PHP.

Gickup is a social gaming platform with a video chat component for 2 to 8 players at a time. It is unique in that it leverages streaming technologies to allow players to interact directly and also allows an unlimited number of audience members to see the player video, the game board, and interaction with players, all live.As technical co-founder, I architected and developed all of the software and SDKs from back-end to front-end using: PHP, Javascript, MySQL, Flash, Flash Media Server, Flex, AIR, and AWS.We were invited to interview at YCombinator.

I co-founded Level2Realty, dba krunching.com, a real estate investment analysis SaaS. Krunching combined MLS listings, property records, and other public data to help investors research potential properties throughout California. It also acted as a lead-generation service for investors, agents, and other participants.I was an invited speaker at industry meet-ups, conferences and other events.I had a successful exit when Krunching.com's technology and assets were sold to another company in the industry.Technologies included: PHP, MySQL, and Javascript.

I joined DivX as the first engineer for the consumer electronics group. This group was responsible for licensing the brand to DVD players, set top boxes, and TVs. I led teams that built the SDKs, the certification systems, and the support infrastructure to ensure compatible encoders and decoders. My responsibilities included technical visits to partner sites domestic and abroad. Technologies included: C, C++, and Embedded Linux.

At Qualcomm I worked on the first video decompression ASIC that could output to a digital cinema projector in high definition. As part of this work I also created an imperceptible fingerprinting system to identify the source of content despite camera recording, resizing, and cropping.In addition to developing key logic blocks in VHDL, I wrote the bit-accurate simulation of the decoder that was used for verifying the chip logic on an FPGA and in the simulator. The chip taped out correctly on the first attempt.Technologies included: VHDL, C, and C++.
