Vice President Of SalesVodaplex, Inc 2009 - 2012Atlanta, UsVodaplex was a startup that recruited me to manage strategic planning and new business development for Telecom, SaaS and Wireless products. We sold primarily through a nationwide network of agent partners. I utilized leading-edge marketing and sales methods, including an in-house developed Marketing Automation platform (there was no Hubspot then!) instrumental in generating 19K+ 4G Wireless activations in 15 months, and securing partnership contracts with major players in the telecommunications and SaaS space. -
Channel Development ManagerFonality 2007 - 2008Plano, Tx, UsFonality is an Intel-funded company with which I played an integral role in building their channel sales organization. I was involved directly in the launch of new software products and innovative cloud-based Unified Communications solutions. I had the opportunity to work with great channel partners all over the world, and strategize with them to execute successful marketing and sales campaigns. Director Of Business DevelopmentNuvio 2004 - 2006Overland Park, Kansas, UsNuvio, an early Cloud pioneer, was my first opportunity to lead sales in a startup organization. I was recruited by the former CEO of Atipa to bring another emerging technology to market that competed against legacy solutions from large, established telecommunications companies. Our technology delivered cloud-based Hosted VoIP & Collaboration solutions to customers before most people had even heard of "Cloud" or "SaaS." I developed the company's channel sales and marketing strategy, then executed on that strategy building the firm from $0 in revenue to cash flow positive. I wore many hats in the company, playing a key role in structuring operations for Marketing, PR, Product Development, Documentation, CRM, Channel Partner Training & Enablement, Reporting and Customer Service, as well as creation of product/partner websites.Nuvio reached over $3M in ARR after only 2.5 years of existence, and established itself as an early leader in what is now called the UCaaS space. -

Marketing ManagerAtipa Technologies 1998 - 2001Lawrence, Kansas, UsAtipa was a great experience in learning how to rapidly grow a tech startup. Learned a lot about what to do and what not to do. We raised $40 million in Venture Capital, and grew from 5 to over 100 employees in a 2 year period. As the Linux market began to take off, Atipa offered a disruptive, open-source based alternative to pricey & proprietary Supercomputers of the time. We leveraged the power of many inexpensive individual servers networked together...aka High Performance Computing clusters. Today, clusters are the norm in supercomputing and cloud computing, but at the time, it was a new approach. Atipa's systems were used to crunch data to find solutions to some of the world's most challenging problems. While I started off managing all marketing efforts in the company's infancy, as we grew, I was involved with hiring our VP of Marketing, a former Sprint Executive, from whom I learned a great deal. I wore many hats in the Marketing Department at Atipa. I managed the company's tradeshow and advertising programs worldwide. I developed sales and marketing collateral. I wrote case studies with key clients such as Motorola. I played an integral role in establishing Atipa as a leader in the High Performance Computing / Big Data industry which helped the company land such clients as Jet Propulsion Laboratories, NASA, Los Alamos, and DreamWorks. While we didn't reach our goal of an IPO after the dot com crash, and the company was sold off, I'm proud to say Atipa still exists 20 years later. -
Service ManagerTti 1996 - 1998Fort Worth, Texas, UsIn a technical position at TTI, I grew my logic, troubleshooting, and reasoning skills immensely. These skills serve me to this day.I built computers. I installed computer networks. I troubleshot and fixed virtually any computer or network issue that can be experienced. I delivered innovative solutions to increase productivity and the bottom line for customers. I also received a CompTIA A+ Certification. I joined as employee number 3 while simultaneously attending college, and the company grew to a point where I was managing multiple computer technicians who manufactured built to order PCs/servers, performed computer repairs/upgrades, and installed/supported computer networks based on Novell and Microsoft solutions. The largest project I was involved with was installing a computer network that tied together an entire school district in Southwest Missouri.
