Bundaberg Fruit and Vegetable Growers Co-operative Limited (BFVG) was established in 1948 and is a non-trading, not-for-profit, grower based cooperative. BFVG represents an industry with over 400 individual businesses worth nearly $500 million at the farm-gate, employing more than 5,000 people and injecting over $1 billion into the local economy. BFVG represents growers in the greater Bundaberg, Gin Gin and Childers districts, South to Gympie, North to Miriam Vale and West to the Gayndah/Mundubbera region. BFVG is governed by a Board of Directors, the majority of whom are local horticultural growers.The BFVG office is a central contact point for the region’s horticulture industry. Being a BFVG member offers many benefits to growers and those businesses affiliated with horticulture. Annual membership fees enable BFVG to continue:Representing members on issues critical to their business;Obtaining and providing relevant information to members;Delivery of training services and seeking project funding for industry benefit; andPromotion of the local industry to aid its overall expansion and success.
