Dan Billman has thirty-three years of experience in the Appalachian Basin oil and gas patch with the last thirty years as a consulting geologist and President of Billman Geologic Consultants, Inc. Prior to independent consulting, Dan worked as a petroleum geologist for Mark Resources Corporation and Eastern States Exploration Company. Mr. Billman is a registered professional geologist in the state of Pennsylvania and an AAPG, Certified Petroleum Geologist. Dan Billman has extensive experience in both development and exploration plays and with both unconventional and conventional reservoirs, in the Appalachian Basin as well as experience in the Illinois, Michigan, Black Warrior, Anadarko, Delaware/Permian, East Texas and Fort Worth Basins. He has performed countless geologic and economic reviews of natural gas and oil exploration properties and prospects throughout the Appalachian Basin, as well as geologic studies for gas storage and coal bed methane development. Mr. Billman received his B.S. degree in Geology from the University of Toledo and his M.S. degree in Geology from West Virginia University. He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and is currently the AAPG Delegate representing the Pittsburgh Geological Society. Also, Mr. Billman is the Past-President of the Eastern Section of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, after holding the organization's other offices. He is a former president and treasurer of the Pittsburgh Association of Petroleum Geologists. He is a member of the Pittsburgh Assoc. of Petroleum Geologists, Pittsburgh Geological Society, PA Independent Oil & Gas Assoc., the Ohio Geological Society, Appalachian Geological Society, Buffalo Association of Professional Geologists and the Northern Alleghenies Geological Society.
