Prior to cofounding Flare Capital Partners and closing its inaugural $200M Fund I in 2015, Bill was with North Bridge Venture Partners for 20 years since its inception in 1994. Flare Capital Partners Fund II closed at $255M in 2019 followed by Flare Capital Partners III at $350M in 2022.During Bill's 30-year tenure investing in young healthcare companies, he has served on the Boards of numerous industry-leading companies, actively helping and working closely with founders and management teams. His current and prior firm's healthcare investments include Aetion, Bright Health, BeMe Health, ClearDATA, Cohere Health, Eden Health, HealthReveal (Accolade), HealthVerity, Iora Health (One Medical/Amazon), Knownwell, SmarterDx, Somatus, Suki, Tausight, Valence Health (Evolent Health), VisitPay (R1), Humedica (Optum Analytics), Connance (Waystar), Phase Forward (Oracle), and Pharmetrics (IMS Health/IQVIA) Bill holds a BS degree from Boston College, an MPH in Epidemiology from Harvard School of Public Health, and has served BC as former Chair of the Board of Trustees and Investment & Endowment Committee member. Additionally, Bill has chaired the Parents Committee of Duke University and the Parents Advisory Board of Stanford University, served on the Board of MGH Institute of Health Professions, was an appointee of former Mass.
