School leader with a passion for wellbeing and inclusion.I currently work in a thriving two-form entry primary school, preschool and nursery, offering provision and wrap-around care to over 500 children (2-11) and their families. Since achieving Qualified Teacher Status in 2013, I have experienced teaching the current curriculum in every year group from preschool through to year six. I was teaching a mixed Y5/6 class and leading PE when Ofsted judged our school to be 'Outstanding' in 2018. Since 2020, I have been in a senior leadership role and continue to have an active involvement in the strategic development of our school and trust. Working in an Apple Distinguished School, I am confident in using technology to support teaching and learning for all pupils.I am passionate about wellbeing. Schools should connect with their community and can provide - through learning and meaningful experiences - crucial support for children and families. I lead a dedicated pastoral team who work alongside all staff in our relentless efforts to deliver or signpost appropriate support. I recognise the benefits of a coaching approach and have invested in my development of these skills, completing both the coaching and coachee programmes with Yorkshire Accord.I am passionate about inclusion. I value the effective use of assessment and evidence-based approaches to improve opportunities and outcomes for our children and young people. I have designed and implemented whole-school referral pathways and monitoring systems to identify and track targeted interventions. I believe in a relational approach and lead a learning support team who work closely with teaching staff to deliver individualised learning plans when needed.
