Executed a portfolio of community-based events, with accountability for significant income targets, as well as event-related marketing, mission and advocacy activities. Ensured goal achievement through the effective leadership, engagement, empowerment and mobilization of event volunteers.I proudly partnered with Hillsborough and Pasco County community volunteers to plan and executed the nation’s largest peer to peer fundraising event, Relay For Life. I supported three Relay For Life events in the Southwest Florida area, including: Relay For Life of Plant City which is a Top 10 Florida event and Top 25 event in the overall Southeast Region raising over $190K each year. Relay For Life of New Tampa and Relay For Life of East Pasco are both growing events that raise a significant amount of money for The Society each year while also bringing awareness to the programs and services of The Society to their communities.

With Volunteers for Community Impact, I managed the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) in Orange, Osceola, and Volusia counties, which includes overseeing collection, organization, tracking, and reporting data pertinent to all federal RSVP grants. I supervised the efforts of project and volunteer coordinators (a staff of 3-5 depending on the time of year) within the specific counties, including volunteer recruitment, training, volunteer placements and working with more than 50 non-profit partners. I assisted in marketing, program development, grant-writing, event planning, and community outreach efforts, including our social media presence, volunteer recruitment, and general awareness through presence in community functions in Osceola, Orange and Volusia counties.

As a Service Center Specialist, my primary objective was to assist Cast Members with personnel issues and questions. I assisted these Cast Members with questions related to benefits, payroll, training and community issues. Another responsibility of this role was the overseeing of our Cast library and computer usage. It was my job to assist Cast Members by suggesting and finding material to help them better themselves or their careers. Such material included resources on interviewing and resume skills, leadership development and learning a new language. I also assisted Cast Members by helping them with the basics of computer navigation.Probably the most prolific and rewarding project to have been a part of while working as a Service Center Specialist was my role as project coordinator for the ESOL Program. During my time as this coordinator I was responsible for the every day schematics of the program, including scheduling and attendance of over 400 Cast Members each week, booking of rooms and marketing and communication of the program.
