Asssistive Technology Specialist that worked to bring voice to those without a voice. Worked with SLPs, team members, and families to: navigate the process for AAC evaluations; provide access to devices for trials; put funding packets together; submit funding packets to insurance companies; and provide device training and support once device is delivered to the end user. Provided speech/language services to students in elementary, middle and high school with speech and language disabilities. Services included AAC, literacy, articulation, and language therapy. Provided assistive technology leadership for the district (helped start and run assistive technology library, provide in-service training on the consideration of AT in the IEP).

I worked with TheraSimplicity on the development and creation of TheraBoards the first online board making tool. I worked with the artist for hire on the development of TheraSymbols, created tip sheets and quick picks. I later used my skills in social language to help design and create Get a Clue, a series of worksheets for addressing pragmatic language skills.

I tutored a student with significant health and medical disability that prevented her from attending school. I provided speech and language services that included sign language, AAC, social skills, etc.
