IVRDP was a UA 17.10 million development intervention funded by the African Development Bank (AfDB) and implemented in five out of the 10 administrative regions of Ghana. I was posted to the project as a National Service Personnel (NSP) upon completing my undergraduate education and was appointed as a Programme Associate following the completion of my one-year service.As a Programme Associate, I provided managerial support, technical and administrative assistance and facilitated project partnerships, knowledge building and management. I, among others:- Supported project research-related activities and production of reports.- Provided managerial and research support to four (4) different consultants engaged by the project to undertake assignments.- Facilitated the development and documentation of project success stories and lessons learnt.

This internship was undertaken to fulfill the vacation training commitment for undergraduates at the Faculty of Agriculture, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. My duties and responsibilities included:- Providing operational support for the organisation and co-ordination of training workshops and meetings.- Assisting in monitoring and evaluation of programme activities. I was a member of a five (5)-man team that undertook an extensive monitoring and evaluation mission in the Asutifi and Dormaa districts from July 9-13, 2007.- Assisting in on-the-field child sponsorship activities.
