I worked for many years as an entrepreneur and operating executive in enterprise software companies prior to becoming an investor. I have been a venture capitalist for 25 years and have worked with a number of companies as their first institutional investor (Series A) through IPO. I currently serve on a number of public and private boards. I have worked and lived in Silicon Valley, Europe, and Asia. I am very interested in working with passionate, committed entrepreneurs with the ambition and patience to build global businesses, regardless of where they originate. As a former entrepreneur and technology executive, I have enormous respect and empathy for the challenges that entrepreneurs face in establishing new companies.Specialties: Software companies with particular interest in data management, security, and adaptive or learning applications. I'm also extremely interested in children's wellness.
