Projects: Backend Infrastructure Conversion – SQL Server to Oracle, Charge Interface Upgrade – scalable to 2000 clinics, EAI Upgrade from ICAN 5.x to JavaCAPSManage architectural research and implementation as well as development and enforcement of team standards. Replaced backend infrastructure database residing on SQL Server with an instance of Oracle; over 100 interfaces had hooks into this infrastructure. A generic java library which implements JDBC was used to allow for an easy switch between databases using configuration files, resulting in interfaces being portable due to the generic JDBC nature of the library.Optimized our EAI implementation to be a robust and expandable structure which allows an unlimited number of projects to be deployed with little or no effort in acquiring system resources. Projects: EAI Migration from Monk To J2EE (ICAN), Charge Master – scalable to 600 clinics, Backend Infrastructure to Manage EAI Meta-DataPrimary responsibility was to integrate our major databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and applications using the SeeBeyond eGate integration suite 5.0.3 and ICAN 5.0.4. Created a suite of shell scripts using KSH and SQL to validate data integration accuracy and to perform system monitoring using a common model leveraging a migration script to manage the promotion cycle.Designed a large number of data integrations across the enterprise's disparate systems using Seebeyond’s e*Gate Integrator 4.5.1.Lead an effort to migrate from the Monk/Lisp based e*Gate Integrator 4.5.1 to a J2EE implementation of Seebeyond’s ICAN suite including design, implementation and development of processes around operations. Created a back-end database to manage the data integration environment including a historical view of exception handling and alerts processed, and storage of incremental control data used by all data integration projects.Developed a charge master system to integrate our clinical systems with our billing systems made up of an Oracle database using heterogeneous connections to SQL server to coordinate and facilitate a fast method of data movement. The controlling mechanism was Seebeyond's ICAN/JCAP 5.0.5 with over 20 loosely coupled projects connected by a JMS messaging system.
