Reporting to the Sr. Director of Capital Facilities or their designee, the Senior Project Manager - Architectural facilitates and leads capital improvement and/or infrastructure projects from conceptualization and functional space planning to design development, project approval and implementation and ensures that all projects are designed and completed within approved project scope, budget and timeline. Project types include renovation, deferred maintenance, and new construction on the Medical School campus and off-site properties, primarily focused on medical education, biomedical science, clinical science and research laboratory spaces.

-Assist project team with design and technical questions during the project. -Share knowledge with the entire studio and be a resource to the entire NELSON staff-Be a mentor to staff, including interns-Direct a team of Teammates-Assist with proposal and contract documents-Prepare and oversee the preparation of Concept, Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Documents -Conduct field survey as required-Generate overall project design concepts-Develop and/or oversee the development of design concepts into complete design development set and further advance into complete construction drawings-Oversee material research and compilation of project data and incorporation throughout the project-Prepare project specifications-Communicate with project team members and resolve drawing discrepancies independently-Coordinate and incorporate work of internal and external project consultants-Oversee the preparation of Addenda and Bulletin documentation-Review Shop Drawings-Review, respond to and track RFI's -Attend construction meetings, make periodic site observation visits as required by contract-Prepare and update punch lists as required-Adhere to NELSON standards in the preparation of deliverables -Review project team work including both internal & external consultants following established QA procedures -Prepare zoning and building code analysis and review-Assist with the timely submittal of drawings to the appropriate authorities having jurisdiction-Oversee the maintenance and archiving of electronic project files-Understand project scope and identify items that are beyond the original scope of services and bring attention to Team Lead-Draft Client Agreement change orders and Sub Consultant agreement change ordered as directed by Team Leader-Prepare meeting agendas, meeting minutes, phone conversation notes, etc. to document the process of the project and directions received from the Client. -Attend project meetings

Architectural project delivery from conception thru final completion of construction documentation and construction administration. Coordinate with internal team, consultants and clients. Direct team with project deliverables and project documentation.Project portfolio includes Food Service, Retail, Commercial, and Academic (higher edu) clients, providing ground up, architectural fit-out, and/or interior design project scopes.

Schematic Design through Contract Administration on interior and exterior architecture project. Project scopes included brand identity for commercial, retail, food service, and residential clients. Internal office responsibilities included, and were not limited to client relations, documentation management, BIM development and support, proposal reviews, marketing development (including website maintenance), and internal information technology management and troubleshooting. Outside office responsibilities included onsite verification and field documentation.

Assistant to Program Manager of Construction for $5 billion over 5 years in Capital Projects. Assistant Project Management on Tenant Improvement projects – Swatch™, UFood Grill™, Boston Tops™, and Peace, Love, Boston™ - (work not limited to) design document reviews; pre construction strategy; project coordination of client, subtenant, general and subs; daily field verification; project docs; building, plumbing, fire and health inspection coordination; project closeout documents.Assistant Project Manager – $3 Million Installation project of (4) jet bridge installations on (1) existing and (3) renovated flight gates – responsible for logistical coordination of all AOA airside construction operations, site verification, GC and sub coordination.
