As the Director, ParcelMap BC Operations, I was the business lead and subject matter expert responsible for the successful operation, maintenance and enhancement of ParcelMap BC including overseeing the quality of the parcel fabric and supporting systems. Reporting to the Surveyor General of BC, this required working closely with other teams at the LTSA and with contractor teams engaged to support the parcel fabric, supporting technology and related policies, practices and procedures to ensure ParcelMap BC operated as a complete and sustainable business unit.The role acted as an ambassador for the award-winning initiative promoting ParcelMap BC as it transitioned into full operations while assisting the Surveyor General in conducting ongoing outreach and consultation with customers and stakeholders. As well, the Director, ParcelMap BC Operations was the head of LTSA’s ParcelMap BC operations, including leading the operations team and maintaining staff performance, management and training.

As the ParcelMap BC Business Solution Lead, I was brought on as the lead subject matter expert and responsible for the specification, testing, and eventual operation of ParcelMap BC, including overseeing the multi-year business and technical set-up and spatial data compilation of ParcelMap BC. Reporting to the Surveyor General of BC and working closely with the LandSure Program Director, this required a highly collaborative working relationship with the ParcelMap BC contractor team tasked with the multi-million dollar build of the technology and parcel data product in order to ensure ParcelMap BC was delivered as a complete working solution. The role acted as an ambassador for the initiative promoting ParcelMap BC and the LTSA’s other services, and assisted the Surveyor General in conducting ongoing outreach and consultation with customers and stakeholders. As well, the ParcelMap BC Business Solution Lead was the process owner for LTSA’s ParcelMap BC operations, including establishing the operations team.
