Legislative Director
Current•Monitor and analyze federal legislative and regulatory actions relevant to client interests while maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of the group’s client-driven policy issues.•Draft and implement strategic plans for client-focused advocacy. •Serve as primary and secondary point of contact for clients related to legislative and regulatory matters.•Cultivate and maintain working strategic relationships and contacts with Congressional Members and staff, relevant Congressional committees, campaign staff, and the Executive Branch. •Schedule meetings for clients and acts as a liaison to staff on Capitol Hill and the Executive Branch. •Attend and report on relevant committee hearings, briefings, and markups and analyze pertinent legislative and regulatory issues.•Lead organizational components of client visits to Capitol Hill and federal agencies.•Ensure proper management of the firm’s political action committee, including communicating with political fundraisers, attending fundraisers, issuing checks and ensuring compliance with contribution limits, and preparing Federal Election Commission reports.
