I retired in 2022 after a lengthy career in managerial roles across a diverse range of industries administered by the Commonwealth and/or NSW Governments. My public sector career gave me wide-ranging experiences and allowed me to develop a unique combination of skills, which I apply when successfully managing programs in my new work environment and in my outside sporting interests.I am committed to developing youth through the wonderful opportunities created by organised sport and other healthy lifestyles, with cricket being my main passion.I am the inaugural President of Sydney’s first (and largest) District Cricket Coaches’ Association (HKHDCCA) [linkedin.com/company/hkhdcca], (established in 2010), which is a highly respected, not-for-profit sporting organisation responsible for recruiting and accrediting young volunteer coaches in north-western Sydney. HKHDCCA also implements a broad range of coaching initiatives aimed at increasing the cricket participation, skills and enjoyment of boys and girls aged between 5 and 15, including beginners, club players, representative standard players, disadvantaged groups, and children with special needs.I was the inaugural President of the Australia–India Women's Cricket Association (AIWCA) Inc. Volunteer - United Cup 2024Tennis Nsw Dec 2023 - Jan 2024Sydney, New South Wales, AuI worked as a volunteer at the United Cup international tournament at the Tennis NSW headquarters at Sydney Olympic Park between 30 December 2023 and 7 January 2024.The United Cup has a unique format with 18 countries competing, playing Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, and Mixed Doubles.World # 1 singles players, Novak Djokovic (Serbia) and Iga Swiatek (Poland) headlined the star-studded field of players.My two roles were in Player Services (assisting the male players, as required), and Patron Services (assisting the spectators to find their seats the Ken Rosewall Arena).The atmosphere was great – it was incredible to see the top players in action from close range.Congratulations to Germany for winning a tight final against Poland on 7 January 2024. You could see how much it meant to the players and their team-mates to win this prestigious cup.You meet so many interesting people from diverse backgrounds when volunteering. -

This involves engaging outside cricket coaches (including some former Test cricketers) who are specialists in different aspects of the game, covering batting, pace & spin bowling, fielding, wicket-keeping and captaincy.BCC supplies additional cricket equipment as required; funds the 1st XI training shirts; contributes towards junior and senior school cricket tours; and holds BBQs and fund-raising Trivia Nights.BCC organises the annual Ludgrove Fellowship (formerly Brighton College), which provides a Year 12 cricketer with a unique 'gap' year in the UK, playing high level cricket for the local club, and coaching / supervising boys at the school.In March each year, Barker Cricket Club hosts a gala, end-of-season dinner / awards night with up to 200 guests from the Barker cricket community.
