As a flexible data scientist I excel in navigating much of the scope of the data science project lifecycle. With my expertise and experience, I am equipped to tackle various aspects of building and maintaining data basebases, data analysis, from gathering and cleaning data to modeling and visualising insights.My strength lies in leveraging SQL and Python's robust libraries and tools to extract meaningful patterns and valuable insights from complex datasets. I possess a strong foundation in statistical analysis and machine learning techniques, allowing me to develop accurate predictive models that drive informed decision-making.My recent achievements include:• Obtained third place in the international Ocean Protocol venture capital investments competition by thoroughly examining the factors influencing startup success within the venture capital landscape. My method involved detailed data cleaning and segmentation, processing a comprehensive dataset to uncover the dynamics of startup funding and success. I used statistical methods to analyse correlations between founder backgrounds, funding mechanisms, and startup outcomes, presenting a quantitative foundation for my conclusions.• Selected in the Top 40 candidates from 7,500 applicants invited to participate in the prestigious Nedbank Design Grad Hackathon. In this event, I excelled in teamwork, problem-solving, design, and pitching abilities, resulting in an invitation to the interview phase as one of 14 finalists.My approach to problem-solving is rooted in a strong analytical mindset, where I apply critical thinking and creativity to design innovative solutions.
