Offer bhangra classes in multiple Bay Area locations: Concord, Dublin, Fremont, Mountain View, San Jose, Sunnyvale, and Tracy. Students of all ages and all experience levels are welcome. Step-by-step instruction on various bhangra moves. A new song is taught every week and students will have learned a 4-5 minute dance routine by the end of the 8-week session. A fun workout and great instruction on bhangra as both a dance form and a workout.

Offer custom choreography services to make sure a dance performance is the best it can be. Assemble a full dance for a specific event, and teach dance steps using our unique and entertaining dance style. Offer musical expertise that will fulfill all specific requirements. Services range from simply putting different songs together, to adding sound effects and providing complex transitions with integration of hip hop beats.

San Francisco Bay Area

Bhangra Empire is a Bay Area dance team that does “bhangra,” a folk dance from the Punjab region of India and Pakistan. Established in 2006, we have taken this traditional dance form and made it contemporary by fusing it with very high energy and exciting elements. Members of the team hail from all over the Bay Area including Dublin, San Ramon, Sunnyvale, San Jose, Fremont, Palo Alto, and San Francisco. Bhangra Empire had the honor of performing at President Barack Obama’s First State Dinner in 2009. In 2010, Bhangra Empire was featured in Harper’s Bazaar Magazine along side First Lady Michelle Obama. The team has also been featured on Season 5 of America’s Got Talent. Locally, Bhangra Empire has performed at halftime of the Golden State Warriors game for 8 straight years. Along with that, we have also competed at and placed in countless Bhangra competitions across North America!Since 2006, our goal has been to bring Bhangra to a mainstream audience. We perform world-wide, and have been teaching Bhangra classes to our local Bay Area community since 2009. We use Bhangra as a vessel to help us stay connected to our culture. We've been given an amazing platform to spread Punjabi culture and hope to continue to do so for many years to come.
