As a design engineer, responsible for designing minor repairs and major/minor modification designs and ensure the compliance with applicable regulation requirements EASA and UK CAA.-Participte in the design and development of modifications following the established aviation standards. -Review damages and develop permanent/temporary repair solutions to comply with UKCAA/EASA standards and to meet with customer required deadlines.-Provide Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support to meet with the tight deadlines.-Analyse functionality, safety and airworthiness of modifications/repairs with conducting calculations-Create and maintain detailed engineering drawings, 3D models and other technical documentations of repair/ modifications in accordance with UKCAA/EASA standards-Collaborate with team members, other teams within company, vendors, and stakeholders and deliever final product to meet with customer requirements-Support the creation of technical reports and accomplishment instructions, and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) related to modification designs. -Stay updated on aviation industry advacements and UKCAA/EASA regulation updates.

Bandaragama

Worked on Expansion project of installation of SACMI ceramic tile manufacturing facility on Macktiles factory premises at Bandaragama. In that project contributed with installation of SACMI PH5000 hydraulic press machine, horizontal dryer inlet and outlet machines, glazing line and project coordination of spray dryer plumbing system. After the commissioning of the manufacturing facility, worked as maintenance engineer in press, horizontal dryer and glazing line with the responsibility of oversee the manufacturing process.-Plan, Coordinate and Monitor productions changeovers in both Press and Glazing Departments to ensure maximum production efficiency and minimum downtime.-Develop scheduled and preventive maintenance procedures for press and glazing departments.-Manage maintenance personnel work allocation to carry out production operations and/or specific ongoing maintenance.-Assist and manage Hydraulic press machine, Glazing line, Horizontal dryer loading/unloading machines installation.-Develop piping layout for powder Spray dryer to tally with factory layout.-Selection of suitable materials, equipment for installations and prepare BOMs considering the product availability in the local market. -Prepare inventory analysis and procurement purchase orders to address production needs of both press and glazing line department.-Identify, report and provide sustainable solutions to the areas/daily procedures with potential safety risk to workers.-Establish and maintain production line control parameters to minimize production flaws and tally with quality department requirements.-Attend daily production meetings and inform higher management about the daily production updates and machine conditions of the press and glazing departments.-Works with cross functional teams to develop maintenance schedules to ensure continuous production.
