Vehicle Calibration Engineer - Embedded Engineering
CurrentIn my current role as a Vehicle Calibration Engineer within the Embedded Engineering Department, I am responsible for the comprehensive testing and evaluation of software updates for vehicle ECUs. Key responsibilities include:Software Update Testing: Conduct thorough testing and review of software updates to ensure optimal performance and accuracy of vehicle ECUs.Collaborative Planning: Engage in strategic group meetings with the embedded team to define future requirements, considering the extended software development lifecycle of approximately two years.Calibration Accuracy: Oversee and ensure precision in truck calibrations to maintain the highest standards of vehicle performance.System Integration: Manage the implementation of the VEPS system within PACCAR, facilitating the integration and deployment of new technologies.VSparC Implementation: Lead the deployment and testing of VSparC, a system designed to automatically generate software parameters tailored to individual customer specifications for each truck.Software BOM Management: Develop and manage new software Bill of Materials (BOMs) to support accurate and efficient software tracking and integration.Automation Projects: Utilized Python to automate browser tasks for extracting, editing, and uploading truck information in the aftermarket. This initiative significantly reduced manual labor.Parameter System Development: Currently working on the development of a system that enables and simplifies aftermarket dealers to autonomously edit truck ECU parameters, thereby optimizing efficiency and reducing manual intervention from the PACCAR team.My role integrates technical expertise with strategic planning and automation to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of vehicle calibration and software management processes.
