Research Topic: Through the thickness heating (TTH) in the ultrasonic welding (static and continuous) of unidirectional carbon fibre / LM-PAEK composite laminates. Objective: To investigate the extent and the effect of TTH in the adherends during the Ultrasonic Welding process and how can its effect on the structural integrity of the adherends beminimized.Activities: sample preparation, static and continuous ultrasonic welding, lap shear testing, fractography, cross-sectional microscopy and data processing.
