Phd Scholar

University Of Reading

Reading, United Kingdom

Worked as PhD Scholar in my PhD research project on international development in the University of Reading, UK. The topic of my PhD research is: Nationalisation of international NGOs – A study on the process, problems and pitfalls of the transformation of development institutions through the process of nationalisation in the context of Cambodia. This thesis has investigated the issues and factors associated with nationalisation of development programmes initiated and managed by international NGOs. It has explored drivers for nationalisation, the process and stages of organisational transformation from international to national, and the key success factors after nationalisation. As part of my empirical data collection, I studied various donor agencies and international and national development organisations working in Cambodia. I have gained extensive experience of organising the research activities, networking and coordination, interacting with people and learning about different organisations involved. This research studies have also been a real learning about strategic and operational management of international development agencies.
