Member, Mobility Management Council (MMC) representing the finance function for formulation, execution and review of the strategic objectives and initiatives for meeting the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Medium and Long Term Business Plans (M/LTBP). The Mobility division in Tata Teleservices Ltd. contributes to over 80% (Rs. 11,500 crores) of the total revenues. The Mobility division serves the voice and data telecommunications market through the GSM and CDMA technologies including 3G and EVDO. A significant part of the business is contributed through a large network of channel partners, retail stores, and alliances with FMCG / retail chains, partnerships with other telecom operators through roaming (intra-circle and national).Primary responsibilities include - 1. Formulation & implementation of a structured financial review process. 2. Formulation, implementation and review of policies and procedures relating to accounting separation of revenue and costs (basis Indian GAAP).3. Financial, legal and regulatory due diligence on all strategic alliances and partnerships.4. Budgetary control of direct costs of the business & continuous optimization and operational support to the business on channel management, devices procurement, roaming operations (national and intra-circle), Strategic Distribution and Branded Retail. 5. Development, implementation and review of IT road map, financial and internal control processes 6. Development of AOP, M/LTBPs and partner in execution of all deployment of plans, monitoring and review mechanisms. 7. Develop models for evaluating various business case scenarios for effective risk management and mitigation. 8. Provide inputs to corporate planning cell to enable them in responding to regulatory and industry initiatives on advocacy.

Member, Retail Management Council & Strategic Distribution representing the finance function for evolving the retail and distribution strategy including creation of a financial and legal framework, accounting separation, a supporting IT architecture and a supply chain solution. Tata Teleservices Ltd. has a network of over ~ 1,500 exclusive retail outlets that contribute to over 50% of the voice and data postpay business of the Mobility Division. The Strategic Distribution vertical has been instrumental in setting up local and national-wide distribution and network with bog FMCG / retails chains and other telecom operators.
