32 years of development in India and abroad. The first 17 years was learning at ASSEFA which brought insight and led me to what I really wanted to achieve. Was fortunate to have teachers like Lagnathan ji and Vijay Mahajan who gave me a capacity to vision and achieve.20 years of carrying the begging bowl glorifying the poverty of my country made me bring about a paradigm shift in development. Started doing business with the poor in regular for profit company mode. Do not like to call it Social Enterprise since it is pure business and the word social makes it loose the business punch and more so how and where the profits are used is an internal issue but surely all these enterprises are inclusive. Relying purely on debt and equity i have not done too badly with the 11 companies floated across the globe.All or most efforts made in the NGO format under grant mode collapsed since they were reliant on personal dynamics, fortunately all the enterprises are moving towards sustainability and meeting the purpose for which they were formed.
