Khan Academy started operations in India in 2017 and focuses on brining world- class education to anyone anywhere. I joined the team in 2017 as the senior manager, chartered with bringing the Khan content to local Indian languages.We started a collaboration with the Karnataka state government. After signing the MoU, we designed a talent search and coached a team of content creators for Kannada. We now have math grades for middle and high school in Kannada.We repeated the same success in Hindi and the efforts are on for Punjabi. I also support volunteering groups that help us localize our content to Tamil, Gujarati. We are collaborating with teams in Bangladesh and Pakistan to leverage their work in Bengali and Urdu. The idea is to align the content to Indian Curriculum.

The School of Continuous Education was chartered with creation and facilitationof workshops for teachers and teacher educators in DIETs.Designed the following programs:Technology Assisted Learning Program was designed to help teachers across theKarnataka state to get comfortable with computers. Instead of giving them theready content that they could use in their class, we wanted them to create theirown content. This program still runs across the state and CIET certifies theparticipants.The Designing and Facilitating Effective Learning Experiences program taughtparticipants the basics of Educational Psychology, Theory of Knowledge andInstructional Design. The target audience for this workshop started as teachersand teacher educators and then evolved for others NGOs and CSR managers.The Leadership Exploration and Development program was designed for theleaders in the education and development sector. The program started with theidea of strengthening the DIETs, Cluster and Block Resource Offices. The programoffered the basic tools that an education leader could use to work moreeffectively.
