Working on two projects : one on laser cooling and trapping of CaF molecules in optical tweezers using a high NA aspheric lens. Another on fabrication of “atom chips” using micro fabrication techniques to trap molecules.

Worked on efficient coupling of light and single ions in the "4π Photon Atom Coupling" project. - Used a deep parabolic mirror as a microscope objective to image a single ion from nearly full solid angle in space. - Experimentally demonstrated a technique to measure the temperature of the atom using this imaging system.- Worked on aberration correction of the parabolic mirror using adaptive optics, and phase compensation using computer generated holograms.Invited Talks in Conferences: - “Measuring the temperature and heating rate of a single ion by high resolution imaging” :4th Russian-German-French Laser Symposium, Kazan, Russia. Received a prestigious 2 year fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt foundation during my time at the Max-Planck-Institute for the Science of Light. - Invited to attend the annual meeting of the foundation, including a lunch reception hosted by the President of the Federal republic of Germany. - Participated in a 2 week cultural study tour of Germany organised by the foundation.

Working with lasers trying to generate correlated photons by four wave mixing

Developed a C model for Data Path module that includes audio channel mixing, soft limiting and volume control for the chip BCM7440. The BCM7440 SoC is a Blu-ray and HD DVD player on one chip.

Worked in Electrical Efficiency Division of Thermal Power Station - I Expn. Project involved analysis and improvement of the efficiency of various machines.
