As a Lead Data Engineer at offshore, I've played a pivotal role in the Walnut Enterprise Data DivestCo project for Albertsons since November 2023. This initiative emerged from the Kroger and Albertsons merger, aiming to streamline data and migrate Divested stores' details to a new environment within Snowflake for third-party vendor CNS.My responsibilities have been diverse and impactful. From direct client interaction to effectively gathering requirements, I've ensured alignment with stakeholder expectations. Leading offshore teams, I've orchestrated seamless collaboration, ensuring efficient delivery of project milestones. Working closely with Data Engineering teams, I've facilitated the setup of Business Objects Data (BOD's) and resolved data flow issues with detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Leveraging Unix scripts, I've streamlined data population processes and automated testing through iCEDQ and Python programming, enhancing project efficiency.Utilizing Snowflake's advanced features such as Stages, Streams, SnowPipe, and Stored Procedures, I've optimized data processes and ensured smooth deployments through Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using GitHub actions. Additionally, I've managed production deployment Change Requests (CR) and actively contributed to daily stand-up meetings, regression runs, and production support.My commitment to team management, knowledge transfer, and mentoring activities has fostered a collaborative and dynamic work environment, driving continuous improvement. As a Data Engineer, the project aimed to revolutionize data governance practices by implementing a solution-based approach. As a DataEngineer the role involved developing, implementing, testing and deploying business driven SQL Rules using a suit of tools such as Snowflake, iCEDQ, Alation and Denodo.
