About Dr. Bharat Lohani

I work in high resolution remote sensing- mainly Laser Scanning (LiDAR) and Photogrammetry. I work in all three domains of these technologies, viz., airborne, mobile and terrestrial. I focus on developing data capture and data processing technologies (hardware and software) and developing innovative applications using these and allied technologies. I also work in finding innovative applications of GIS. I have 25+ years of experience in research and teaching in this domain.Since last one decade I have been promoting Geokno India Pvt. Ltd., which I co-founded in IIT Kanpur for providing LiDAR based solutions to government and industry in India. Geokno today is Leader in LiDAR technology in this part of the world and I am working to develop innovative solutions for LiDAR data capture, processing and solution development.
