Responsible for managing multiple teams responsible for development of Qualysguard Platform and Web applications.Recruited and managed distributed teams (USA - Multiple Locations, India) of Software Engineers, QA and Build engineers to develop/maintain Qualysguard Platform.As a hands-on leader, led architecture and design of several backend services. Prototyped and introduced several new technologies, e.g. Docker, Redis, AngularJS etc.Designed/architected and led teams responsible for development of following key services:* Asset Service​: A centralized service to handle creation/updates of Assets ( IPs, Web applications etc) discovered by different products.Technologies: Oracle, RabbitMQ, Java, ElasticSearch* Appliance Management Service​: A service responsible for registration/activation/management of Qualys Scanner Appliances ( Physical and Virtual).Technologies: Java, Oracle, DropWizard, Puppet* Scan Service: ​Scan service is central point of registration/communication for all the Qualys Scanning appliances throughout the world, and is responsible for planning/distribution of Qualys Vulnerability, Policy Compliance and Web applications scans. This service handles scans of up to 1 Billion IPs/annually.Technologies: Java, PHP, Oracle, ActiveMQ* Created docker images for all the services and different Qualys products to make it easier for developers to run whole Qualys Stack locally.

* Responsible for design/development/maintenance of QualysGuard Policy Compliance and FDCC scanning web applications.* Work with Product Managers to review/draft product requirements.* Interact with various cross-functional teams on a regular basis to ensure timely development and release of new features.* Triage bugs with support and QA to prioritize and fix existing bugs.* Work with technical documentation and operations team to ensure successful and high quality deployment for new features.* Help design new features, provide high quality design documents.* Mentored junior team members.* Interact with Customers and Partners to gather product feedback and new requirements.

Lead design and development of Qualysguard Policy Compliance web application.

* Developed efficient and modular UI libraries to support implementation of new interface.* Designed and implemented support for offloading report generation to dedicated report servers with failsafe and redundancy built-in, enhanced QualysGuard reporting capabilities by separating reporting processes from web servers.* Developed interactive and template based reports for Policy Compliance beta release.* Introduced support for task offloading. Use dedicated processing servers to offload heavy processing tasks off of web servers.
