Led client engagement, system analysis, proposal, eng., project management, production, deployment and support for iDEN's automated cell phone conformance test system and stress / mobility management / other testing systems. Conducted expert-level trainings on GSM, software engineering tools & SEI-CMM processes. Defined multiple SEI-CMM Level 5 processes for what was then the only commercial SEI-CMM Level 5 organization. Developed Iridium Gateway subsystem test tools & scripts.The technologies, products & capabilities developed for iDEN by my teams were key for its high quality calls & phone model availability that helped rapidly scale its sales to NexTel from a few hundred million to billions of dollars, for setting up global iDEN development/test capabilities, and for pre-testing high value NexTel phone features prior to market launches. These aided to a material extent NexTel’s technological successes in the years prior to its acquisition by Sprint for $35B in 2004.
