Bhaskar Bhatt is an accomplished design leader with over 24 years of experience in institution building, teaching, and action research. As the previous Director of the School of Design at Anant National University, he was responsible for managing undergraduate and Master's programmes, ensuring that the curriculum is up-to-date and relevant to the current industry trends. Bhaskar is committed to providing students with an exceptional education that will prepare them for the challenges of the rapidly evolving design industry. Bhaskar's leadership experience includes serving in key positions at prestigious institutions such as NID Ahmedabad, IIT Gandhinagar, and Atlas Skilltech University (ISDI Parsons) Mumbai.Bhaskar is a serving member of the CII National Committee for Design 2022-24 and an advisory member for the Student Startup Policy for the state government of Gujarat. In these roles, he has demonstrated his ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and has been recognized for his strategic thinking, innovation, and leadership skills.Bhaskar's research interests lie in affordable med-tech innovation and public health systems design. With Johns Hopkins University Baltimore, he has led innovation projects on maternal and neonatal health with clinical testing in Kenya, Nepal, and India. His expertise in this area has been instrumental in developing solutions that have the potential to impact millions of lives. He is a nominated member on the women’s health technology committee at FIGO (Global body of Obstetrics and gynaecologists). As an alumnus of National Institute of Design (NID) Ahmedabad & IIM Lucknow, Bhaskar has a strong academic background. This has been complemented by his experience serving on the board of government organizations, incubators, and universities.
