My responsibility is to build a BI & Analytics Practice to build products and service offerings on traditional and modern Cloud and Analytics platforms.

Operational responsibilities:• Providing skills and delivering projects to customers in Banking, Insurance, Manufacturing and Energy & Petro Chemical verticals.• Improving operational efficiency of projects through deployment of right skilled and experienced resources, by monitoring industry standard parameters like Utilization, Pyramid (both Number and Cost), Onsite/Offshore Ratio, Offshore Leverage, Cross Skilling etc.• Working with architecture and solutions team to provide the most optimum responses to RFPs, RFIs etc.• Working with the training department to plan various technical, functional & soft skills training programs to build and improve competence.Executive responsibilities:• Planning annual revenue targets with business units towards existing and new customers.• Providing thought leadership and evangelizing capabilities and solutions to business unit, to ensure that BI/DW technologies are effectively proliferated to various accounts.• Providing Consulting Services to customers on how BI/DW/EPM solutions can improve organizational performance.• Working with Account Management teams to build account specific plans for greater BI/DW penetration.• Meeting customers and prospects regularly at executive levels, to identify business opportunities.• Monitoring Business Development teams readiness and progress towards RFP ownership, case study preparation, collateral generation and distribution, sales enabling sessions, campaigns etc.• Partnering with various product / technology vendors to align with their offerings and ensuring that internal skills are built/enhanced on a regular basis.• Contributing to the knowledge enhancement of our consultants by speaking at various internal events, training programs etc.• Speaking at various events to showcase our competencies and promote the Organizational Brand.

Key responsibilities:• Managing delivery of BI & DW Projects across all Lines of Business including development of new applications and ongoing systems support of live systems.• Contributing to the technical leadership of design, development, implementation and maintenance of BI & DW systems.• Working with other IT departments to define and plan the introduction of new systems or changes to existing systems (in BI & DW), identifying costs and timelines.• Contribute to the Ever-greening process of migrating applications using legacy / non compliant tools to the current tools as per Group Compliance.• Ensuring compliance with all internal standards and instructions as well as external regulatory requirements including the management of operational risk.• Control concurrent projects and resources that vary in complexity and scale to meet changing objectives• Manage relationship at senior levels with business, both at country and regional level.• Contributing to the development of staff through regular counseling, coaching and training, whenever needed.Major achievements• Lead the deployment of two of the biggest Group Systems on Business Intelligence and Sales Solution within the defined time and budget.• Defined and managed the development of analytical (OLAP) content using Cognos tools.• Defined a roadmap to migrate applications using the obsolete "Forest & Trees" tool to the current approved Cognos tool.• Defining a governance to control the proliferation of various SQL and Copy File requests running on production environment which hamper performance.• Spoke at various internal forums and workshops at the regional level, on the roadmap.• Spoke at external events involving banking communities, on the depth of our BI & DW deployment and particularly our Global Relationship with IBM Cognos.

Key activities:• Business Development by leveraging existing JD Edwards Domestic and Global clients.• New client acquisition drives through marketing initiatives and research.• Co-ordination with major BI product vendors like Cognos, Oracle (Hyperion), Business Objects etc.• Assisting our Regional Sales and Account Management teams in formulating BI solutions for their prospects. These regional teams were created for Americas, UK & Europe, Middle East, ASEAN, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.• Visiting these regions to meet clients/prospects and discuss solutions with them.• Understanding customer’s requirements and formulating strategic solutions for them.• Developing innovative solutions for various verticals along with the delivery team. Thereafter, these solutions were translated into a Go-To-Market strategy along with the Sales team.Sales & Pre-Sales• Developing Business Plans and setting Annual Targets for the Sales team and the SBU.• Identifying target verticals for the sales team to focus on.• Preparing prospective customers lists with related information, to be approached in these verticals.• Organizing personalized conferences in our office to showcase complete products and solutions.• Conducting detailed presentations and product demonstrations to every client’s C-Level management.• Negotiating pricing and leading towards order closure.• Attending Sales Conferences to understand Cognos’ Global Strategy as well as Regional focus.Delivery• Developing key skills needed to successfully design and implement Cognos based solutions.• Reviewing progress of all ongoing projects through meetings and conference calls.• Preparing various MIS reports like Project Status, Resource Utilization, Resource Availability etc.• Coordinating training requirements needed for the delivery team and ensuring its execution by the Training department.• Coordinating with Recruitment & HR to have a continuous availability of such skills.

Icon Infosoft was oriented towards web development, mobile (Palm OS) development and academic software package development. Key activities included:• Setting up the software development activities• Planning technical resources• Studying & analyzing web development trends in the industry• Setting company focus on products and solutions to be offered• Partnering with leading global companies offering associated products & solutions• Discussing client requirements, setting their projects in action and monitoring them.

Lead a team of Delphi programmers in their offshore office in Mumbai and coordinated their development activities with the onsite team based in the UK office. Various clients & projects were:• Capita Education Services, UK: Accounts Receivable module of ‘Equipment Register’ application. Tools used were Delphi & Quick Reports for development with Sybase SQL Anywhere database.• Capita Education Services, UK: Equipment Register, the master application controlling various other modules. Same tools as above.
