I am working with the MySQL team in Oracle Bangalore. My main responsibilities are * Technically lead a team of test engineers to verify and validate the new features and performance of MySQL Optimizer. * Developing and maintaining the test suites. * Development of automation frameworks and enhancing existing frameworks as and when required.* Benchmarking the optimizer performance.* Developing new tools for testing the database as and when required.Our test tools and frameworks are developed using PERL and Java.

In the Information Management Product Group at IBM, India Software Labs, Bangalore. Working with DB2 on Linux, Unix and Windows. Also working in configuration and set up of Q Replication Environment on Unix and Windows using DB2 and WebSphere Message Queues.I also worked on solidDB helping out the client teams with the installation, configuration and understanding different features of the solidDB database.My main responsibilities were* Attend the review meetings with Solution Architect and Solution Owner.* Working at customer site solving problems in DB2, solidDB and DB2 replication in IBM.* Reviewing the Solution Requirement Specification and High Level Design.* Writing the QA Solution test plan, the QA Functional test plans for individual features.* Writing the low level test plan and reviewing the test plan written by other team members.* Automation of the test cases using PERL, Shell, SQL and ESQL-C* Playing a major role in guiding the test team for automation of regression testing.* Working with the Development team to verify and resolve the bugs* Collaborating with cross teams for resolution of issues.
