Joined Mphasis as a Senior Software Engineer and currently working as Senior Program Manager for Global Operational Risk and Resiliency Data Management system developed from grounds up this product helps largest bank in US to maintain their global resiliency and recovery data, this application enables bank with data for Business recovery and application recovery.This application is critical for the bank and enables the bank become compliant to Federal OCC (Office of the Comptroller of the Currency) – being compliant with BASEL II guidelines.Reporting of this application is used for OCC Audits and Crisis Management.Program has an annual budget of about ~10 MM and is structured to deliver 4 Major releases every year.Managing the entire development team, development budget and meeting P & L targets is all part of my responsibilities in addition to delivering the program successfully.

Group Manager (Program Manager) with Major US retail bank online portal program, servicing about 8 Million unique customers a day, with 45 Million active registered customers.Responsibilities of leading the distributed development and testing teams and managing overall project and program execution. Made significant contributions to business requirement analysis, team building (recruitment), responded to request for proposals (initial analysis, scoping, estimation and resourcing activities).Notable Contributions:Tech Program Manager Data Migration - Tech Upgrade Initiative - to move from Oracle 10g to IBM DB2 - for entire Corporate Internet Group.Coordinating movement of ~ hundreds of million of records from Oracle to DB2 for the Major US Retail Bank Online website. All the functional code was converted from Oracle to Native PL/SQL - to minimize DB2 proprietary dependencies.Involved in understanding and providing solution for Oracle / DB2 incompatibilities with IBM experts.Conducted multiple POCs for various solutions implemented in Oracle - to be ported in DB2.Responsible for Functional and Performance testing coordination.Direct interaction and reporting to highest level of client senior management team. Tech Project Manager for the latest SMS Banking initiative by Major US Retail bank that enables 2 Way SMS banking by customers - enabling them to transfer money using SMS. Merger initiative of 2 major retail banksCoordinated movement of ~13 Million customers from Major US Retail Bank.online on to another Major US Retail Bank without impact to Users login credentials.Coordinated movement of ~30 Million accounts.This was achieved in phased approach and without any downtime.Responsible for creation of validation and verification reports accounting for each user id eligible for migration.Creation of MIS reporting for Customer Service Rep. so that they would be able to help customers that are not migrated.Lead for rewriting core component of Major US Retail Bank Online secured website impacting 45 Million customers.Responsible for pre and post rewrite comparison testing, controlling and troubleshooting differences, maintaining record of changes to component and validation for each unique customer types.At end of this initiative the component was delivered with 10 Million customers tested for all the changes.
