I take on multiple challenges both as an instructor as well as Counsellor for the senior school students.My work involves me to work with diverese individual clients or groups, advising:TeachersParents;Social workers;StudentsMy role typically involves;• Designing and administering all content and curriculum for Junior college students to prepare them for college• Developing a love for psychology in young adults to help make them more sensitive and empathetic towards others• Assessing learning and emotional needs of students• Developing and supporting therapeutic and behavior management programmes• Designing and developing courses for parents, teachers and others involved with the education of children and young people on topics such as bullying• Writing reports to make formal recommendations on action to be taken, including formal statements• Advising, persuading, supporting and negotiating with teachers, parents and other education professionals• Attending case conferences involving multidisciplinary teams on how best to meet the social, emotional, behavioral and learning needs of the children and young people in their care• Formulating interventions that focus on applying knowledge, skills and expertise to support local and national initiatives• Developing and applying effective interventions to promote psychological wellbeing, social, emotional and behavioral development, and to raise educational standards

I took time off from academia to improve my skills in counselling and training and also to bring up our new-born son. I took on side-projects counselling young school graduates in vocational guidance & counselling. I also set up a training vertical at NIWAS (www.niwas.com), where i was incharge of setting up the HR and training vertical for the export oriented unit.
