We develop smart exoskeletons to enhance human mobility. Our pilot product is a smart knee brace that predicts and prevents career-ending knee injuries for professional athletes, such as ACL tears. Using innovative sensor technology and various data processing and machine learning models, a potential injury is predicted and and an airbag is deployed to prevent any injury.

I am leading a team of 20+ committee members to host industry events and technical workshops for 500+ undergraduates. The Fleming Society is a departmental society at University College London's (UCL) Electronic and Electrical Engineering (EEE) department.

I presented a bionic arm brace and rehabilitation glove that I had prototyped at the Technology Design & Innovation (TDI) National Competition, hosted by the Manufacturing Technologies Association. I won the national final with my project.

I have been an Army Cadet for 5 years, leaving with a senior rank of Sergeant Major. Being a senior cadet, I was responsible for 80 younger cadets and leading them on campus, ensuring appropriate training was delivered when handling rifles and ensuring their safety. Through the CCF I completed several military and publicly recognised courses as well as earning a vocational qualification.

I led a team of Engineers, which was sponsored by the No.1 UK defence company Leonardo. We prototyped a robot that could carry up to 10kg of additional payload for soldiers (such as first aid kits and ration packs), accurately track and follow a soldier within a 5m range and traverse rough terrain using bespoke tank tracks. The project won a Platinum Award through Leonardo.

I tutored kids between 5 to 10 years of age with my ex primary school teacher. It was a blend of teaching mythology (done by my primary school teacher) and an introduction to STEM (done by myself). Being my first teaching experience, there was a lot to learn, especially ways on delivering the content. After what I felt like was a shaky start, we managed to recreate scenes from Greek mythology and incorporate STEM into it by making our own rubber band powered cars (which were used as chariots) and popsicle stick catapults for a mini war! Not only was it a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop my teaching skills, but it was extremely enjoyable!

During the virtual work experience, I gained a sound understanding of the inner-working and concepts related to Engineering and the ability to identify the skills needed to pursue a career within the sector, as well as a better understanding of the career pathways within Engineering. The most valuable was the insight into the daily life of different types of engineers and the awareness of employer expectations and transferrable skills.

I worked as an assistant at the Westcliff High School for Boys Summer School for new year 7 pupils. I assisted with Design and Technology lessons and general administration. During the D&T lessons, my job was to primarily ensure the safety of the pupils in a workshop and help them with their woodworking projects by tidying up the cuts using a bandsaw and a disc sander. I also had other administrative tasks, such as taking a register, making a seating plan and running errands as they were needed day to day. I believe this job was successful due to my superb organisation and communication skills, as well as knowledge in the subject area.
