Hello LinkedIn world!Curiosity and logic have always been the drivers of my journey in science, I love understanding the biology of nature and seeing how humanity can tune it is always a wonder. As a genetics enthusiast, I started my bachelors in science at Bhavan's Vivekananda College, and over the period it turned my focus to studying epigenetics. I received summer training at the University of Hyderabad where I gained practical expertise and an insight into how non-coding tsRNAs epigenetically regulate transcription. My college life and internship have given me skillset and strength to envision a career in research. Currently I'm pursuing Masters in Biotechnology at the Regional Center for Biotechnology, my thesis involves - understanding the roles of pentatricopeptides, a class of RNA binding proteins, in mitochondrial and chloroplast mechanisms that contribute to plant defenses. In future, I aim to explore in the fields - epigenetics, organellar genetics, stem cells, RNA biology, tissue engineering and regeneration. Also, I'm building myself to become a science communicator. Looking forward to connecting with people and communities with similar passions.
