Hands-on Backup Administrator, providing L2/L3 level problem management and resolution for the backup of approximately 7000 servers using Commvault and Azure backup utilities and SAN\NAS infrastructure environments. Maintain PD guides and procedural documentation. Provide On-Call support for backup job failures, user restore needs, and network, disk library offline and other backup related issues. Coordinate with the SQL/Oracle/VM/Wintel Team to test and implement new backup requests. Responsible for schedule/workload balancing, management of libraries, DDB engines, storage policies including the Auxilary copy, data ageing, retention, and Disaster Recovery activities. Participate in projects for new software/hardware implementation. Successfully configured live sync setup for disaster recovery. Develop and execute new processes and procedures relating to the backup utilities. Responsible for updating/upgrading Future release/maintenance release on timely manner.Develop and administer training documentation relating to the operational functions of backup utilities. Managed training for new hires, offering continuous guidance and mentorship on best practices while providing constructive feedback. Organized regular audits of backup configurations to ensure quality of service.
