I am a proven higher education manager and team leader that is passionate about using technology and data analysis to improve outcomes and organizational effectiveness. My experience has been in data analysis and reporting, technology implementations, process mapping, and training in public sector higher education. While completing my Masters of Public Administration at the top-ranked Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, I studied how public organizations use data and technology to drive data-informed decision making. I also hold a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from the University of Texas at Austin.My software competencies include SQL, R, Cognos, SPSS, Visual Basic, and the Microsoft Office suite, including Publisher and Project. Despite this technical focus, I am comfortable presenting in front of a 1000 people, providing technology training to 30 people, or giving one-on-one coaching.     I led the Analysis and Reporting Team of the Office of Institutional Research. In this role, I drove the three-member team to produce data-informed analysis to leadership questions, fulfill regular reporting to external funders, provide accurate datasets to internal researchers and coordinators, and provide support for advanced SQL users in the organization. I also oversaw the production of statistical reporting for various institutional reports, such as the Complete College Georgia report, our annually-produced Faculty Data Reports, and various transfer analyses.Additionally, I made presentations on how Georgia State uses data. These presentations have included:• a portion of a webinar for the US Department of Education on using data to gauge student behavior as the institution pivoted to online course delivery for COVID-19 in March 2020,• a presentation on multiple ways to use National Student Clearinghouse data, given to the interactUSG Summit in 2018 and 2019, and• an overview of how GSU and OIR use data, given to visiting universities and non-profit organizations.Twice a year, I taught a SQL course that introduces novice programmers to the SQL programming language. It provided a deep-dive in to the most common organizational data sources and shares common definitions and best practices. Tools used in this role include Oracle SQL Developer, R Studio, Excel, Power Query, and Power BI.

As a result, the Council transitioned from suggesting ad hoc responses to proposing evidence-based solutions affecting large constituencies of UT Austin staff.
