SAP Project Manager - Manufacturing

Managing deployment projects for Enablon software throughout HF.

• Complete ownership of the SAP application including core, interfaces, and 3rd party applications. o Included support, maintenance, security provisioning, enhancements, licensing and audits. o Responsible for establishing and managing operating expenses and capital budget. o Responsible for hiring, evaluation, training and development of employees. o Vendor management • Managed M&A activities from an ERP and Infrastructure perspective including a major acquisition. • As a Sr. IT Manager executed a full lifecycle transformational initiative focused on implementing SAP for all product lines at LHI while adopting the Global template of our parent company in Germany. o Initiated project by building the plan, budget, team, and timelines. o Pre-deployment focus on building future SAP Landscape and Ecosystem which included ~35 supporting applications/interfaces and Master Data cleansing. o Organized all design change requests from initiation to disposition focusing on ensuring each change was documented properly from a project audit perspective. SharePoint was utilized for documentation. o Owned Hypercare support post Go-Live. Cherwell was utilized as the Service Desk software. The Hypercare support period captured quality-based metrics directly from SAP to capture business disruption for each deployment. o Acted as primary auditor for elevated access in SAP. o Reviewed transports during transition to a structured release management strategy. Part of the review was providing documentation of transport details to both internal and external audit to ensure system changes followed correct path and were categorized and documented properly. o Coordinated deployments against quarterly release plan. This included managing the weekly releases that did not fall under RM category and all emergency releases.

Enterprise ownership for Assembly Maintenance and Overhaul (AMO) processes driven by SAP and Maximo including repair order processing, spare parts planning, procurement and related interfaces. Ownership included the relationships between IT and the Product Lines at BHI.

Directed an international team responsible for compliance based deployments of SAP. These were full lifecycle implementations using standard project management methodology. Accountable for maintaining standard processes and minimizing deviations and customization. This team was also responsible for training and support.

Managed global SAP activities for Baker Oil Tools including deployments, enhancements and support for Supply Chain, Order Management and Operations.

Provided oversight for all business processes (Supply Chain/Order Fulfillment/Finance). This role included ownership of SAP licensing activities such as forecasting, allocations and approvals and building Product Line roles that complied with segregation of duties. Team based in Finance vs IT.

Served as a manufacturing subject matter expert focusing on planning and execution for the transformational project that established SAP as the ERP tool. Primary task was to develop a global model for deployment. Promoted after the first deployment to Project Manager and completed three international deployments in Germany, Scotland and Norway.

Joined Baker Hughes Mining Tools at the plant start-up and functioned as the Department Manager of the Heat Treat operation responsible for all functions including production planning, scheduling, capital budget and quality control.
